Why ChisGuard® ?

ChisGuard® is a complete wireless and autonomous system for the protection of objects against theft or restricted access, even when they are in the presence of persons in movement. New technologies in the field of RFID strengthen the video surveillance, intervention and guarding systems, particularly in places opened to the public.

ChisGuard® real-time automated RFID system can protect, track and manage all types of valuable objects or equipment. The active RFID tags allow preventing the theft of objects exposed in public areas, or during their movements, as well as valuable equipment in a warehouse.

Every valuable object, equipment or window and doors to be protected is equipped with a discreet tag, endowed with a motion detector sensor, which places it behind an intelligent and invisible barrier, protecting totally the scene through a wireless communication. Long range controllers detect any suspect action and activate immediately an alarm.

Operating principle

The ChisGuard solution is based on Active RFID technology developed by Agorabee.

This technology combines a tag - transmitting its state via radio waves - and a reader - reading radio signals within reach and transmitting them to an information system.

Within ChisGuard, the tag is called detector.

When the size of the secured area exceeds the reach of one reader, multiple relays can be added in a meshed network to cover the entire secured area. The relays use a wireless communication protocol developed by Agorabee’s engineers to transport the data to the final controller which communicates with the information system. The size of the secured area can therefore be virtually limitless.

When an object is moved, the detector transmits a signal relayed to the information system and is processed according to the customer’s business needs.

The motion detectors can be adjusted to specific requirements and options are available to extend the solution.

Equipment

The ChisGuard® Motion Detection Tag contains a motion sensor. This element measures any movement or shocks on an object immediately. With pre-adjusted sensitivity the Tag transmits a special command as soon as it is in motion. The Tag also differentiates clearly whether secured objects are in motion for one shock only or whether it is in continuous motion over seconds or even minutes. Even when the tag is idle, it is assured that the application monitors its presence continuously.

The ChisGuard® Controller is used to collect information from all deployed active Tags, with a reading and writing range up to 160 m in free spaces. The anti-collision mechanism allows for a thousand tags to be simultaneously present in the range of one single controller.

Several controllers can be networked. The unique transmission features make this tag useful also in difficult environments, where non-friendly Radio Frequency material is present such as  metal surroundings, concrete walls and water proximity. The alteration of the transmission remains usually very acceptable given the harsh conditions in which the the active tag is operating.

The controller has a built in GSM / GPRS module to automatically send alarms by SMS or relay information to an information system.
