ChisFleet® - Extending real-time vehicle localization to cargo and driver
Why ChisFleet® ?ChisFleet® is a complete wireless and autonomous system for real-time tracking of vehicles, cargo (trailer, dump, container, pallets) and driver.New technologies in the field of RFID coupled to GPS technology allows to extend traditional GPS tracking systems and offer an RFID-enabled fleet management solution. The ChisFleet® real-time automated RFID system can identify, track and collect the journey history of your fleet and its cargo. The active RFID tags allow the collection and verification of relevant information for fleet management such as the presence of a cargo, the temperature, movement and shocks or opening and closing of doors. The cargo, dumps, containers or doors are equipped with a robust tag endowed with an identifier and a detector (movement, temperature or other) relaying information with wireless communication. A long range controller installed in the vehicle detects relevant events from the sensors and immediately relays the information together with the GPS position to a centralized fleet management system. The ChisFleet® web application provides the overview on your fleet as well as the specific alerts triggered by the sensors. Operating Principle
The ChisFleet® solution is based on Active RFID technology developed by Agorabee.
This technology combines a tag (transmitting its state via radio waves) and a reader (reading radio signals from the tags and the GPS device providing the position of the vehicle and transmitting them to an information system). |

Within ChisFleet®, the tag is called detector. These elements sends the data to the final controller which communicates with the information system.
When a tagged object is moved or a change of temperature occurs, the detector transmits a signal to the reader and the information system to be processed according to the customer's business needs.
Equipment
The GPS device is the receiver of signals sent from satellites of the Global Positioning System (GPS). The receiver calculates its position (longitude and latitude) based on the signals received.The ChisFleet® identification Tag is either mounted on a dump, a container, a pallet or a box for instance. An identification tag can also be assigned to a driver (keytag) and the system can continuously control the presence and state of all tags. Optionally, various sensors including shock, movement or temperature detection can enable new applications.

The ChisFleet® Controller is used to collect information from all deployed active tags within reach. The anti-collision mechanism allows for hundreds of tags to be simultaneously present in the range of one single controller.
Several controllers can be networked for very long vehicles. The unique transmission features make this tag useful also in difficult environments, where Radio Frequency non-friendly material is present and conditions are extreme. The alteration of the transmission remains very acceptable in harsh conditions. The controller has a built in GSM / GPRS module to automatically send alarms and the GPS position by SMS or relay it to an information system.
